Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains

Domaine Cotzé's Transhumància Blanc is a skin-contact wine from 100% Muscat à Petits Grains, sourced from organic vineyards in the Roussillon region near the Pyrenees. This wine exemplifies the natural winemaking philosophy of Wilfried Garcia, who focuses on minimal intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar. After 10-15 days of maceration on the skins, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts, bringing out the natural aromatic qualities of Muscat. It is aged without fining, filtering, or added sulfur, with only a tiny dose of SO₂ at bottling to ensure stability.

The result is an aromatic wine with layers of floral and herbaceous notes and a light tannic structure from the skin contact. The high altitude of Domaine Cotzé's vineyards, at 1,300 meters, gives this wine a refreshing brightness and minerality unique to this extreme terroir.​
